This is part of a series of photographs I took in 2000 in an abandoned construction site, in the Civic Center, in Curitiba, Brazil. These pictures were taken with ISO 100 film, exposed and processed at ISO 1600, developed using a high dilution, high agitation, high temperature method, to bring out a characteristic "grungy" grain. The abstract compositions were highlighted by this high grain, high contrast process, rendering very "punchy" images. During scanning, I used several different analog exposure corrections, layering the different images, for precise local tonal adjustments. Hope you enjoy!
